Ashley and Max

April 7, 2017

Take one very fun couple and an equally awesome mother-of-the-bride, all dessert lovers and amazing cooks, and you end up with a wedding cake and dessert table that were the highlight of the evening!  Ashley and Max were married at the gorgeous and scenic Monteverde at Oldstone (http://monteverdeatoldstone.com), which sits atop the Hudson River in Cortlandt Manor, New York.

A stunning, tented reception for close to 300 guests, Ashley and Max wanted to thrill their family and friends with special desserts, a wow of a wedding cake, and edible favors for the ride home.

Their dessert table was a mix of light and summery and rich and decadent. They offered to their guests 150 cake parfaits of vanilla-raspberry and dark chocolate-s'mores, 50 mini pies of peach crumb and blueberry, and three different flavors of wedding cake.  Ashley absolutely loves ice cream sandwiches and always dreamed of having them at her wedding.

For this, we created two different flavors using freshly made cookies and homemade ice cream.  For their wedding favors, the bacon bourbon popcorn in stemless wine glasses were a huge hit with their guests.

Ashley and Max's wedding cake reflected their style of modern romance with silver painted cake tiers and an asymetrical sugar flower spray of white and blush toned peonies and roses.
